The panel shop expands the existing corporate office to bring more services and support to consumers through the Power and Controls Division. With the new shop, the Power and Controls Division can provide you with custom panels and flexible solutions to meet all your needs.
Custom Solutions
The team at Kurz Industrial knows that when it comes to panels, there is rarely a one-size-fits-all solution. Fortunately, the new panel shop takes that consideration into account. The shop is designed to build custom panels made specifically for your unique needs. The panels offered through the shop can modify and perfect an existing design that you already have, and they can also be used to help you build a new system altogether. The new panel shop will focus on several key features, including assembling control panels, wiring the panels, and programming. The shop will also be able to assist with control panel installation as needed, and the team can help troubleshoot problems that develop.
Drawings and Documentation
The new shop at Neenah also has the tools and resources necessary to help map out and design custom panels prior to installation. The shop is equipped with the latest technology available to create drawings and provide a detailed Scope of Work. That includes CAD drawings and machine layout and design drawings. The panel shop can also generate Scope of Work documentation to give you quotes and estimates before any work is started. Documentation for machine control narratives is also provided at the Neenah shop.
Programming Solutions
The new shop also provides Kurz Industrial with the ability to meet your needs faster and more precisely than ever. The shop has several programming systems, including HMI, Drive, and Custom PLC, that will help give you customized solutions tailored to your exact needs.
Onsite Testing and Startup
When you order a control panel, you might be used to having the panel simply dropped off at the door or loading dock. Ordering a control panel from Kurz's new panel shop, however, is a much more personalized experience. Along with delivering a new control panel to a convenient location at your worksite, the knowledgeable team provides custom startup onsite to get the panel up and running as quickly as possible. Testing is also provided to ensure everything is working smoothly. If problems arise, the team can also perform troubleshooting to make sure that problems are fixed or prevented.
About Power and Controls
Power and Controls is a new acquisition from Kurz. Power and Controls is in Green Bay, WI, and it is part of the company's recent Rasmussen Electric purchase. Power and Controls and Rasmussen are both subsidiaries of Kurz. Although they will retain their own separate identities, the two companies will expand the services that Kurz can provide. Power and Controls will act as a supply house that provides Kurz's customers with a broader range of equipment including contactors, circuit breakers, motor starters, enclosures, and other electrical equipment. The company will also enable Kurz to provide custom panels on demand and produce control panels on a small scale. The acquisition of Power and Controls is designed to bring the capacity to build custom panels under one roof at Kurz. Ultimately, the new Power and Controls unit is expected to continue helping Kurz Industrial grow and continue to serve its customers even better.
