A large Recycling Paperboard Manufacturer on the East Side of Milwaukee began using Kurz for Predictive Maintenance Testing (PdM) on critical motors in 2013. PdM measures are designed to help determine the condition of in-service equipment in order to predict when maintenance should be performed. After acquiring baseline data, Kurz identified an inconsistency with a large critical motor in 2014. The testing suggested that this motor is removed from production at a planned outage, rather than waiting for an unplanned failure. The Maintenance Superintendent Jim reported that it saved his organization about $10,000 or more in production losses.
